Title: A History of Charlton Park

History in The Making

This project has attempted to roll Charlton Park's past, present and future into one ongoing cyber-based document, with the opportunity to correct what is already in it and absorb new material whenever events occur meriting inclusion. No longer does a dust-cover need to become dog-eared; no longer does a copy need to be posted abroad; no longer does a book with a small print-run become unavailable, cost money, or risk you losing the precious copy you borrowed from a friend.

Photographs from various events in Charlton Park in the last quarter-century are not included because some people may not wish to find themselves on the Web without prior knowledge. With that in mind, it is suggested, at some future date (to be published in the CPRA Newsletter and on the Notice Board) those interested are invited to gather on the green in King William Drive for a group photograph. Wherever you live within the larger bounds of old Charlton Park, you are more than welcome to participate in this ground-breaking event. When it happens, you will be encouraged to smile and wave to friends and relations, or maybe just the whole world from this website.

If you do not receive the CPRA Newsletter but would still like to participate in the project you can use the 'Contact' button. Your email address will then be used to notify you of the time and date of the photograph.

I hope you have enjoyed browsing through and learned something new from this article. If you know someone else who may be interested please forward the URL: www.charltonparkcheltenham.org/history to them, helping to avoid another of those energised Google searches!
